Ed has his first ever headline tour of Australia and New Zealand later in the year and tickets have already sold out! According to reporters, the tickets sold out in just a few minutes?

Ed Nominated for an Ivor Novello Award

Ed's single 'The A-Team' has been nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. He faces competition from Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' and Florence + the Machine's 'Shake it Out'.
The Ivor Novello Awards Ceremony will take place on May 17th.

We're Back!!

This month long hiatus is over now that I'm back off holiday... if that's what you'd even call it!

I was suppose to be going on this awesome cruise, which I paid £14K for. I went to Portsmouth and on the morning we were suppose to be leaving I couldn't get out of bed - I had food poisoning. So, I couldn't go on the cruise, wasn't allowed a refund and had to pay £70 a night for 27 nights because I was too ill was too get back home.

I saved up for 4 years to go on this cruise so now I am well and truly skint!

Isn't life just great sometimes.

HOLIDAY!!

Hey guys, yep the title is correct. I am going on holiday tomorrow (30th March) and I'll be away for the entire month of April! Woo-hoo!
I am going on a cruise and unfortunately won't have any real internet connection.

This means that I won't be able to supply you with news or anything else on our blog, twitter or Facebook page.
I will be back on the 1st of May so will make sure to catch up on everything then.

I guess I'll speak to you guys then, have fun at home/school! :P

p.s. if you follow us on twitter during this time, obviously I won't be able to follow back - however, I will make sure this is the first thing I do when I get back.

Ed's New Single

So, Ed has officially announced what his next single will be. Just look at our name and you've got it! Yes, his new single will be 'Small Bump'.
This will be his fifth single from his debut album '+'.

(as soon as I get onto my laptop tomorrow I will post the song, just in case some of you haven't heard it).

Rizzle Kicks Reveal Plan to Collaborate with Ed

Rizzle Kicks have known Ed for a while and he has even appeared in one of their videos.
However, now RK have revealed that they will be releasing a collaboration with Ed 'in the not so distant future.'

In an interview with Capital FM they said "There is something coming up that is going to include his voice so I hope you guys look out for that. Let's just say the album's got some life yet and we won't be missing a trick with using some of the friends we have required."

So, our current provider for the site (the other pages above) has decided that it doesn't want to let anyone create/edit their websites anymore, so I've had to find a new provider.
Luckily, I have found a new one and it will be up and running very soon.
However, while we're still constructing it I would like to let you all know that on the Pictures page we will be sorting a part for fan photos. So, if you guys have any pictures of yourself and Ed (or Example, Rizzle Kicks & Professor Green) we would be very happy if you could send them to us and we will put them on the site. Well done to our boy Ed, who won TWO awards at tonight's BRITs! He won Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

Ed Releasing Free EP for Valentines Day

The E.P is a collaboration with rapper, Yelaman and is called Slumdon Bridge. The first track has been confirmed to be 'You Don’t Know'.
As it says above, it will be absolutely FREE! and released on Valentines Day.

Ed Performing at Queens Diamond Jubilee Concert

There will be a concert on June 4th, outside Buckingham Palace, to celebrate our Queens Diamond Jubilee and Ed will be one of the performers.
10,000 tickets will be given away by public ballot whilst others will be able to watch on BBC1 or listen on Radio 2.

Other people confirmed to perform are Jessie J, Paul McCartney, JLS, Elton John, Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Take That and maybe even a Spice Girls reformation!

Ed to Perform at R1 Olympic Event

Radio One have a weekend event in Hackney, in June for the Olympics, featuring star studded performances.
The event is being tipped as one of R1's biggest ever free show and is expected to have over 100,000 people attending.
To get tickets for the event just go to the link below and register for them before 11pm on the 19 March, then you will be asked to enter details and upload a photo. If you do this you will then be able to apply for up to 2 tickets before the 25th March. Tickets are free, however there is a small handling charge.
But don't worry if you can't get tickets because it will be screened on BBC3 on June 23 and 24!
Not only will Ed be performing but also Jessie J, Dappy, Professor Green, Lana Del Rey, Jack White, Emelie Sande, Tinie Tempah and Plan B.

Ed Recording Duet with Example

In an interview with Capital FM Ed had this to say "we've just done a song together and so we were talking about doing a video for that."
We will all be looking forward to that!

He also spoke about being nominated in the same category as Example at the BRITs, "we texted each other about the nominations which was nice" he said "there's not really any competition, it's like one big British movement moving forward."

Drunk is Ed's New Single

Ed has revealed that his new single is of the song 'Drunk'. On twitter he told us that he has made 2 music videos for the song, one of them including a cat taking him out to get drunk and having a house party where some girls hook up with the cat!
Strange, however we cannot wait to see the videos.

Ed Nominated for the Most BRITS

The nominations for the BRITS have just been announced and Ed is ruling the roost with the most nominations out of everybody else. He is nominated for 4 categories, Best Male; Best Breakthrough; Best Single (The A Team) and Best Album (+).
Ed told the BBC he was ''ecstatic, really happy and pleased'' at the launch party today. He added ''I think every artist would really want to win the Best Album Award - but I think Adele will win that one.''

New Capital FM Advert

Capital FM have released their new official tv advert which features not only Ed but also Example, Pixie Lott, Rhianna, Jessie J, JLS, Labrynth and The Wanted, along with other stars. You can view the video here...

Official Chart Position

On the first official chart of 2012 Ed has two singles in the top 20. 'Lego House' has gone to number 7, and 'The A Team' has come back in at number 17.
Also, on the album chart '+' has gone to number 1!!! It is the first number one album of the year.
